Have you suddenly disengaged from a career or job you once thoroughly enjoyed?

You used to leap up every day and race off to a job you love. Now you just feel trapped, exhausted and disillusioned. You may be suffering Job Burnout Syndrome!

Do you remember the time when you’d wake up in the morning and bounce out of bed looking forward to the day ahead? As you showered and on the way to work you’d already be thinking through what was in store for the day – what you had to do, who you had to see, where you needed to focus. And in the evening you’d head home with a real sense of achievement, knowing that you’d done a solid day’s work.

So how did it all go so wrong?

Do any of these sound familiar at the moment:

  •  You’ve started to dread a job that you previously enjoyed

  • Every morning at work seems like an age, and every afternoon a drudgery

  • Your emotional and physical energy has plummeted

  • You feel distant and disengaged from your work and your colleagues

  • You’re easily frustrated and quite often irritable

  • You’ve started to doubt the meaning in what you do

  • People around you have started to notice changes in the way you behave

  • You’re becoming cynical and critical

  • You no longer have the energy to resist temptation, and may be indulging in poor eating habits or unhealthy comforts to fill the void

  • You’re experiencing backaches, headches, digestive problems or other physical aliments- including sleeplessness

  • Your mind has gone into a constant stream of negative and exhausting thoughts

  • Try as you might you just can’t seem to “snap out of it”!

Job – or career – burnout is a real and serious issue that affects people in many walks of life. It can have serious consequences for your career, your health, your relationships and even your sense of self-respect

You can halt and control burnout!

The good news is that there are some simple and logical things that you can do to halt and control burnout, so that you can reclaim your energy, gain clarity of thought and purpose, and make the changes you need to keep your life moving forward.

That’s why I’ve created this site. You see – I’ve been through workplace burnout, so I know exactly how distressing and confusing it can be, and how difficult it can be to find people who understand what you’re going through.

But I made it through to the other side, coming out a wiser and happier person, and I want others to do the same. So I’ve pulled together a summary of what I found to be useful and practical, based on my own experiences, a great deal of research and all that I learned from the many people who helped me get back on track.
